Alien's Nest drops you into a straightforward but satisfying top-down shooting loop: waves of alien creatures pour in from every direction, and your job is to stay alive while thinning them out with an arsenal that gets stronger the longer you survive. Between waves you spend earned currency on weapon upgrades and new gear, which means every run has a clear sense of getting stronger even as the swarm gets bigger and faster right along with you.

The difficulty curve is built around forcing constant movement — standing still to line up a shot is usually a mistake once the later waves start surrounding you from multiple angles. Managing distance, picking off stragglers before they group up, and timing your upgrades matter more than raw aim once the nest starts sending serious numbers your way.
