Earn to Die 2 is the sequel to Earn to Die, the game that helped popularize the "zombie apocalypse driving" genre β plowing a heavily armored, steadily upgraded vehicle through hordes of the undead across a series of increasingly hazardous stages. Developed by Toffee Games, the sequel expanded significantly on the original's scope, adding a broader map to traverse, more vehicles, and a much deeper upgrade system than its predecessor.
The series' enduring appeal comes from its satisfying progression loop: every run earns currency, every bit of currency goes toward making your vehicle noticeably more powerful, and that growing power directly translates into being able to punch through zombie hordes that were previously impossible to survive.
The objective is to travel as far as possible through each stage, using earned currency to continuously upgrade your vehicle so it can survive terrain and zombie density that would have been impossible earlier in the run.
Its addictive upgrade loop and satisfying vehicular destruction make it a genre favorite. GBK Games also has Day Of Meat: Radiation for more post-apocalyptic survival action.
