Learn to Fly 2 continues the beloved flash-era physics series in which a flightless penguin, determined to prove that penguins can fly, launches down a ramp using increasingly elaborate homemade contraptions. Developed by Fishing Cactus, this sequel expanded significantly on the original's upgrade system, giving players a much deeper progression of gliders, boosters, and equipment to earn and unlock across repeated launches.
The series' enduring popularity comes from its satisfying "launch, earn, upgrade, launch further" loop — a structure that predates but closely resembles what later became a whole genre of "distance" physics games, where every failed or successful attempt directly funds better equipment for the next try.
The objective is to fly as far as possible on each launch, reinvesting earnings into better equipment so that each subsequent attempt reaches farther than the last.
Its addictive launch-and-upgrade loop remains one of the flash era's most beloved physics games. GBK Games also has Learn to Fly Idle for an incremental take on the same beloved series.
